Malaysian singer Xu Jialing brutally stabbed to death by stalker just days after wedding

In a shocking and tragic incident that has sent ripples of sorrow throughout the nation, Malaysian singer Xu Jialing, a 26-year-old rising star and soon-to-be bride, met a horrifying end at the hands of a 44-year-old man who claimed to be her fan. The incident unfolded on December 18 when the assailant brutally stabbed Xu eight times in vital areas, including her chest, back, and heart, leading to severe bleeding and her untimely demise.

Disturbingly, the suspect had reportedly been stalking Xu for the past two years, escalating his obsession with repeated demands to meet her. On the day of the fatal encounter, the singer, perhaps out of fear or an attempt to appease the obsessed fan, had reportedly promised to share a meal with him. However, the situation took a dark turn as arguments ensued, resulting in a violent assault. The suspect, armed with a knife, ultimately took Xu’s life. Following the heinous act, he made a failed attempt to end his own life and is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital.
The grim discovery was made by the police after a witness reported the crime. Xu Jialing’s lifeless body was found in the suspect’s car. Astonishingly, at the time of his arrest, the perpetrator claimed to be the late singer’s boyfriend.

Adding to the heart-wrenching nature of the tragedy, Xu Jialing had been eagerly anticipating her upcoming wedding to Liu Yang, a 23-year-old man she had been dating since March. The couple had recently announced their wedding plans and shared joyous photos with their fans. Liu Yang, devastated by the loss of his beloved fiancée, expressed his grief and condolences through social media on December 19, leaving a grieving online community in anguish.

As the nation mourns the loss of a promising talent, the details of this horrifying event serve as a stark reminder of the dangers of obsession and the urgent need for increased awareness and measures to address stalking and protect individuals from such tragic fates. May Xu Jialing’s soul rest in peace.
