The opening night of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023 saw stars put their fashion foot forward as they graced the red carpet event. There among the starry lineup was desi girl Priyanka Chopra, who raised the glam quotient on the red carpet with her enchanting appearance in a dramatic white gown and cape.
Priyanka was quick to share her look from the big night with her fans and followers on Instagram, and captioned it as, “Opening night Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival.”

The pictures garnered all sorts of reactions from fans and friends alike.PeeCee’s hubby Nick Jonas also reacted to the post saying, “Damn” and added fireball emoticons.

Priyanka’s friend Natasha Poonawala also commented, “Stunning!!!”
The actress didn’t just mesmerise in her photos. She also owned the red carpet and turned it into her personal ramp as she strutted in her dramatic ensemble.

Once inside, the actress took to the stage to welcome guests to the opening ceremony.

The star’s appearance at the festival comes just hours after her arrival in Mumbai city, early Friday morning. This year’s festival is poised to be a cinematic extravaganza, featuring a remarkable lineup of over 250 films from around the world, spanning a duration of 10 days.
Scheduled from October 27 to November 5, the festival’s curation includes an impressive selection of films, encompassing 40 World Premieres, 45 Asia Premieres, and 70+ South Asia Premieres, along with an astounding number of over 1000 submissions for the South Asia program.

This year’s festival promises to be a celebration of contemporary cinema and fresh voices emerging from South Asia, as demonstrated by the focus on the South Asia Competition. This competitive section seeks to shine a spotlight on breakthrough contemporary South Asian films.
Apart from Priyanka Chopra, the opening night of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival saw the presence of several other Bollywood luminaries, including RajKummar Rao, Sunny Leone, Utkarsh Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Patralekhaa, Tara Sutaria, and more, making it a star-studded and memorable event.
